A major wave of senior police appointments is made by Itamar Ben-Gvir in recent days. Commissioner Danny Levy informed superintendents that a broad round of sub-superintendent promotions will begin soon, but what are the people who are being appointed according to the report?

The first two people are Iran Nahor, who is expected to serve as the police legal advisor, and a close person to Ben Gvir, David Baveli, who is expected to be appointed head of petitions to the Supreme Court and operational operations of the organization.

The third major position that Ben Gvir intends to take over is the head of the police prosecution division, the body responsible for filing 90% of indictments against citizens. This would give Ben Gvir enormous power to suppress Anti-government and Anti-war protests, and will even allow him to intervene in the process of arrests of Israeli civilians. In addition, Ben Gvir plans to place a person of his own in one of the most central positions in the police: head of the investigations division, for exactly the same purpose.

Just yesterday, we saw severe police violence in Habima Square in Tel Aviv during protests against the war with Iran. Eleven people were arrested in Tel Aviv, and seven were arrested in Haifa. This is a part of Ben Gvir’s coup in the Israeli Police.

Why now?

The hearing on petitions to remove Itamar Ben-Gvir over his interference in police appointments and operations was originally scheduled for last week but was postponed to April 15 at the request of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu due to the ongoing war.

The Israeli Advisor to the Supreme Court Gali Baharav-Miara claims that Ben Gvir is violating court rulings and showing “contempt for the rule of law” in everything related to his unprofessional police appointments. Miara also claims that Ben Gvir directly harms the Israeli police in order to use it as a political force.

Itamar Ben-Gvir is reportedly planning to appoint loyalists to key positions to preempt any potential ruling by the Supreme Court of Israel that could affect the police. For example, the Israeli Police Chief of Staff appointed by Ben Gvir has already pledged allegiance to Ben-Gvir and the government, despite any future ruling by the Supreme Court.

What Happened?

Tensions have soared in recent weeks as American warships moved into the region. Ahead of the strikes, President Donald Trump built up the largest U.S. military presence in the Middle East in decades. Today (28/2), Israel attacked Iran. Explosions were reported after Defense Minister Israel Katz confirmed an Israeli attack. Netanyahu and Trump said that said the joint attack was to “remove an existential threat posed” by Iran. US president calls on Iranian people to ‘take over your government’

The Attacks

The first strikes of the attack appeared to target the compound home to Iran’s 86-year-old Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in downtown Tehran.

The Israeli military’s Home Front Command has imposed nationwide restrictions and declared a state emergency as explosions were heard in Northern, Central and Southern Israel.

Iran in response, attacked Israel and US bases across the Middle East. Sirens also sounded in Jordan as explosions were heard in northern Israel.

Explosions were heard in Israel, Bahrain, the home of the US fleet in the Middle East, Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. An hour later, Headquarters of US Navy’s 5th Fleet in Bahrain was attacked.

Gulf Arab state Qatar said it had downed all missiles targeting the country and that it had a right to respond while Saudi Arabia condemned those attacks.

Iranian state television reported that the president, Masoud Pezeshkian, was “safe and sound”, while Israel said he was likely killed. An Iranian source close to the establishment also told Reuters several senior commanders in Iran's Revolutionary Guards and political officials had been killed.

At least five students were killed in Iran and one person was injured in Israel. Residential buildings in Northern and Central Israel suffered damage while Iran tried to attack the Dimona nuclear power plant in southern Israel three times.

Yesterday (19/10), Nine people have been arrested after the Israeli Premier League football derby between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Tel Aviv. the area was abandoned following violent clashes between rival fans and between the police and the fans themselves in direct confrontations.

12 civilians and three police officers are known to be injured at this stage, and Hapoel condemned the “brutal police violence”. Israeli authorities calling the scenes “one of the worst outbreaks of football violence in years.”

The Israeli Premier League match was due to be played at Bloomfield Stadium, which is shared by the two Tel Aviv rivals.

The first is Hapoel Tel Aviv - founded in the 1920s and has a strong connection to the country’s labor movement, with “Hapoel” meaning “worker”.

The second is Maccabi Tel Aviv - The football club of the international Jewish sports organisation “Maccabi World Union”.

Footage released by police showed pyrotechnics and smoke grenades being thrown from the stands before kickoff. Far-right minister Itamar Ben-Gvir condemned the violence of Hapoel Tel Aviv participants, which caused mass outrage in Hebrew social media.

“The shocking events outside the stadium, and the rash and scandalous decision not to hold the game, only demonstrate that Israel Police have taken control of the sport,” Hapoel said.

As a result of the violence, British police are now “reaching out” to their Israeli counterparts “to gain an understanding on what happened at last night’s match in Tel Aviv,” Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s deputy spokesman told journalists on Monday.

This is not news - Maccabi supporters were also involved in violent attacks and racial slurs in Amsterdam in November 2024, where Dutch police made several arrests following confrontations between them and Ajax fans.

Maccabi is violent also in the local level, and they’ve been involved in numerous controversies throughout the history of the Israeli football. Reports by the New Israel Fund have found Maccabi Tel Aviv as having the second-most racist fans in Israel, behind Beitar Jerusalem.

“It was never about religion but everything to do about hooligans! These hooligans are not welcome in my constituency!”, MP Ayoub Khan said on X.

The documents details the next points titled under "“Comprehensive End of Gaza War” in accordance to Trump’s steps proposal. I’ll add some notes (According to 11st October 2025)

1. President Trump announces the end to the war in the Gaza strip, and tht the parties have agreed to implement the necessary steps to that end. (Note: This step was done earlier this week)

2. The war will immediately end upon the approval of the Israeli government. All military operations, including aerial and artillery bombardment and targeting operations will be suspended. During the 72 hour period, aerial surveillance will be suspended over the areas which IDF forces have withdrawn from. (Note: Still ongoing, Israel will remain in control of nearly 60 percent of the Gaza Strip according to the agreement)

3. Immediate commencement of full entry of humanitarian aid and relief as determined in the Proposal, and at a minimum in consistence with the 19 January 2025 agreement regarding humanitarian aid. Humanitarian aid and relief implementation steps are attached herewith. (Note: This step will probably start as early as Sunday)

4. IDF will withdraw to lines agreed upon as per map X attached herewith, and this will be completed after President Trump’s announcement and within 24 hours of Israeli government approval. The IDF will not return to areas that have been withdrawn from, as long as Hamas fully implements the agreement

5. • (A) Within 72 hours of the withdrawl of the Israeli foces, all Israeli hostages, living and deceased, held in Gaza will be released (Note: A list is attached, which indicated the names of the hostages to be released is already written and agreed upon by both sides)

   • (B) Within the 72 hours, Hamas will release all living hostages including those held by the Palestinian factions in Gaza.

   • (C) Withinthe 72 hours, Hamas will release the remains of the deceased hostages in its possession and those in the possession of the Palestinian factions in Gaza (Note: Probably Palestinian Islamic Jihad who also hold hostages)

   • (D) Hamas will share, within the 72 hours, all the information it obtained relating to any remaining deceased hostages through the information-sharing mechanism in paragraph (E) below.

   • (E) Israel will provide information on the remains of the deceased Ganzans held by Israel.

     Establishment of an information-sharing mechanism between the two sides through the mediators and the ICRC (International Committee of the Red Cross), to exchange information and intelligence on any remaining deceased hostages that were not retrieved within the 72 hours or remains of Gazans held by Israel. The mechanism shall ensure that the remains of all the hostages are fully and safely exhumed and released. Hamas shall exert maximum effrot to ensure the fulfilment of these commitments as soon as possible.

   • (F) As Hamas release all the hostages, Israel will release in parallel the corresponding number of Palestinian prisoners as per the attached lists. (Note: There are approximately 2,000 Palestinian prisoners to be released)

   • (G) The exchange of hostages and prisoners will be done according to the mechanism agreed upon through the mediators and through the ICRC without any public ceremonies or media coverage

6. A task force will be formed of representatives from the United States, Qatar, Egypt, Turkey and other countries to be agreed upon by the parties, to follow-up on the implementation with the two sides and coordinate with them.

Fiverr is an Israeli multinational online marketplace for freelance services. It is one of the most popular sites in the topic of online freelance-to-freelance service, but all the money that goes to the company is being taxed by the state.

eToro Group Ltd. is an Israeli multi-asset investment and social trading company focused on providing financial services. as of 2024, the company earned US$931 million. Their models often work against the customer when the customer loses money, making the company profit. As a result, multiple lawsuits have been opened against them.

The Religious Zionist movement began as a minority current within Zionism, seeking to reconcile Jewish nationalism with Orthodox Judaism. The ideology used to spread among illegal Israeli West Bank settlers.

Early Zionist leaders were largely secular, socialist and atheist. Religious Zionists however argued that the establishment of a Jewish state was not just a political-colonial project but a divine mission that ties back to the Israelites of the bible.

Ben-Gvir belongs to that movement - which views Jewish worship on the future Third Temple Mount as both a divine religious right and a step toward Jewish redemption. Some within this movement believe that such worship will help bring the Messiah closer.

The Third Temple - Background

The Third Temple refers to a hypothetical rebuilt of the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem. The first 2 temples were destroyed due to civil wars and external enemies.

Many rabbis interpret halakha (Jewish religious law) as prohibiting Jews from entering the Holy of Holies. However, Ben Gvir and other Jews from the Religious Zionist movement believe they have a divine right to access the place, despite the muslim tensions it creates.

He and his party of messianic religious nationalists hope to replace the Dome of the Rock with the Third Temple. In 2024, he was the leading settler propaganda machine, which produces pictures and models of the Third Temple

Obstacles

The most immediate and obvious obstacles are Al Aqsa Mosque and Dome of the Rock, which cover the area of a potential Third Temple, if one would be built. Dome of the Rock is the world's oldest surviving work of Islamic architecture, the earliest archaeologically attested religious structure to be built by a Muslim ruler. any modifications to the area will result in huge muslim uprising.

In addition, most Orthodox Jewish scholars reject any attempts to build the Temple and pressure on Ben Gvir to stop his provocations at Al-Aqsa Mosque, which they view as “התגרות באומות”, meaning “provocation of nations”.

Sacrificial of Red Heifers

In 22 April 2025, TRT News uploaded a documentary to it’s channel named “Jews prepare to slaughter red heifers at Al-Aqsa to fulfil prophecy”. the video represents a right-wing israeli group who make an underground plans involving the smuggling of red heifers to al-aqsa mosque - but why they do it!?

The red heifer was a reddish brown cow sacrificed by Temple priests as a purification ritual in biblical times

The red heifer offering is described in Numbers 19 as a Jewish purity ritual to keep on purity and Jewish values and traditions.

This specific tradition is long gone, but Ben Gvir and his messianic settler friends, who slowly but surely are becoming a mainstream in the Israeli right-wing, want to bring it back, somehow, even at the cost of an economical and social isolation.

Background

The wide wave of Palestine recognition in the world comes after Israel announced a wide offensive in the Gaza Strip which they named “Operation Gideon Chariots B”. Itamar Ben-Gvir and Smotrich, far-right allies to Israeli PM Netanyahu, promote the idea of a military state and Jewish settlements.

The UN meeting discussing the recognition will take place on September 9. Prévot said that the decision acknowledges the return of all Israeli hostages held in Gaza and the removal of Hamas from political power.

“This is not about sanctioning the Israeli people but about ensuring that their government respects international and humanitarian law and taking action to try to change the situation on the ground,” Prévot said on X.

Sanctions

Belgium to also impose 12 "firm" sanctions on Israel. which will include products from Israeli illegal settlements, According to AP.

Far-right national security minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and finance minister Smotrich might be included in the new sanctions.

The 38-page proposal, known as the Gaza Reconstitution, Economic Acceleration and Transformation Trust, or GREAT Trust, explains the plan in great detail, and includes pictures made with AI.

Washington Post reports that the plan envisions U.S. oversight for at least 10 years, building AI-powered smart cities with luxury resorts and hubs of industrialization. Calculations included in the plan envision a nearly fourfold return on a $100 billion investment after 10 years, according to The Washington Post report.

Ethnic cleansing?

The plan is reportedly involving the temporary relocation of Gaza’s population. the plan documentation explicitly says that Gazans could "voluntary" departure to another country or into restricted areas within the territory during reconstruction. Anyone who owns land would be offered a "digital token", and Palestinians who will leave the strip will have $5,000 in cash and subsidies to cover four years of rent.

Reuters previously reported that there is a proposal to build large-scale camps called "Humanitarian Transit Areas" inside, where the Palestinians could house themselves. The plan will be carried in cooperation with the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), known for shooting civilians who seek aid at locations of humanitarian aid.

The Israeli military has gradually escalated its operations around Gaza City over the past three weeks, which could be related to the “GREAT Trust” plan discussed in the white house.

Despite what the politicans said, legal experts have raised questions in regard to the ethnic cleasning of Palestinians from the Strip, saying they often fail to return to their homes, get adequate food, shelter and medical care that would comply with International law.

What the plan includes?

The goal of the plan according to the 38-page proposal, is to build “A thriving Gaza at the crossroads of a New Abrahamic Architecture”. The document says that “Recovery in Gaza depends on dismantling Hamas and reintegrating it into the region.”, and suggest a solution that includes the next:

1. Mega projects in KSA, Egypt, and throughout the region.

2. $1.3T of rare-earth minerals in western KSA

3. Global trade & finance hubs in UAE

4. Potential connectivity through the IMEC Initiative

5. Global tech and defense hubs in Israel.

The 10 main projects

The Gaza-Arish-Sderot Special Economic Zone will be established with free trade to Europe, GCC, and the US, and will include 10 main “Mega Projects”:

• Gaza Infra. Rebuild - To rebuild Gaza

• The Abraham Gateway - To connect Gaza to an airport and port

• The MBS Ring and MBZ Central Highway - To pave a main highway crossing

• Abrahamic Infrastructure Corridor - To build railway, pipeliens and fibers

• Gaza Port and Airport - To build Roll-on, Roll-off port and additional port

• Regional Water Hub - To build desalination plants

• The Elon Musk Smart Manufacturing Zone - To build industrial zones

• The American Data Safe Heaven - To build regional datacenters

• Gaza Trump Riviera & Islands - To build resorts on coastline

• Gaza Planned Cities - To build AI-powered cities

The total investments of the projects will total at $133,434,276,071. Reconstruction will also increase value of Gaza by ~$324B.

The real goal

The plan proposed that the Gaza Strip will be placed under a U.S-led (or initially U.S.-Israeli led) governance for the next 10 years. The stated goal is to reshape the Gaza Strip economy with the full integreation of AI, but the real goal is rather economical.

Landowners would exchange redevelopment rights for digital tokens, which represents an a changing economical value. Those who own land and want to stay would receive this kind of digital “token”.

The Tony Blair Institute (TBI) is partially behind the plan, a non-profit organization often involved in the persuasion of neoliberal agenda and cooperation with authoritarian regimes.

Israeli business leaders shaped the concept in cooperation with Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF).

The announcement by Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan came on top of a ban on direct trade between Turkey and Israel announced in May of 2024, according to a report published by the Assosciated Press (AP).

Ankara has been a harsh critic of Israeli attacks on Gaza, with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan repeatedly referring to Israel’s actions as genocide. Further than that, recent public opinion polls in the country of Turkey, shows a rapidly growing negative opinion on Israel, with at least 93% of the population showing unfavourable opinion on PM Benjamin Netanyahu.

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan published the next announcement:

“We have completely cut off our trade with Israel. We have closed our ports to Israeli ships,” Fidan told a special parliamentary debate on Gaza in Ankara. “We do not allow container ships carrying weapons and ammunition to Israel to enter our ports, nor do we allow aircraft to enter our airspace.”

The Israeli government did not immediately comment on his remarks to neither Reuters or other agencies, but Turkey was compared to Hamas by far-right Israeli minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.

Wait, what happened?

Israel has launched a series of attacks on Nasser Hospital in southern Gaza, with local health authorities reporting at least 20 people have been killed.

The attack initially killed three journalists at the spot, clearly working with vests, and two died from their injuries later. their names were:

• Hussam al‑Masri (Reuters contractor/cameraman),

• Mariam Abu Dagga (freelancer for AP and other outlets),

• Mohammed Salama (Al Jazeera cameraman),

• Moaz Abu Taha (freelance journalist/photographer), and

• Ahmed Abu Aziz (Middle East Eye / Quds News Network)

Israel response

The IDF, under the command of Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, said that they will conduct an investigation regarding the matter. IDF spokesperson publicliy released the next announcement:

"The IDF regrets any harm to uninvolved individuals and does not target journalists as such. The IDF acts to mitigate harm to uninvolved individuals as much as possible while maintaining the safety of IDF troops."

Later on, Zamir ordered an inquiry into why forces shelled Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis with tanks instead of precision fire. He also called for a deeper probe into the approval process, timing, and field decisions. Strikes on hospitals require authorization from a major general, but the initial report did not specify who approved it. The army said the target was a Hamas camera placed in the hospital.

The IDF said six of the dead were identified as terrorists, including one who took part in the October 7 attack. Important to mention that they were identified only AFTER the strike, which was aimed at a hospital camera.

Additional announcement on the following day said a force identified the camera on Thursday and received permission from a senior commander to strike it. Drone attempts failed, so a tank unit arrived yesterday and, relying on the earlier approval, fired four shells in two volleys. The IDF says this killed six terrorists and is examining why four shells were used.

Netanyahu said on X that the strike was a “tragic mishap”. The Israel Medical Association raised concern about the attack.

Is the IDF lying?

IDF is contradicting itself in multiple points, in it’s initial announcement and even in it’s following announcements regarding the identifications of “terrorists” at the Naseer hospital in Khan Yunis.

1. IDF claimed the hospital was hit by tank shelling, but AlGhad TV’s live footage shows the strike came from an Israeli air force plane.

2. The IDF says it doesn’t target journalists, yet around 250 have been killed in the past 2 years—making this one of the deadliest periods for journalists, surpassing even WWII.

3. History shows that many IDF investigations into civilian-targeted strikes remain unresolved, with at least 88% of cases open.

4. Two airstrikes hit the hospital in the same location within 17 minutes, targeting both civilians and journalists. The likelihood of such strikes being a mishap is low - especially considering that IDF officials approved the operation and stated it was “carried out in accordance” (Channel 14)

This was not the only action Brazil took against Israel in the past year. In late July, the Brazilian government announced its withdrawal from the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA), “In protest over Gaza”. On August 20, 2025, Brazilian congressman seeked ban on Netanyahu overflight amid ICC warrant. Israel already decleared Lula has “persona non grata” in the past.

Israel response

Following the decision, Israel has withdrawn its request to appoint a new ambassador to Brazil, and Israeli Foreign Ministry declared that ties with Brazil are now being conducted “at a lower diplomatic level.” Later on, they released the next announcement:

Brazil’s critical and hostile stance toward Israel since October 7 has intensified after its president compared Israel’s actions to those of the Nazis. In response, Israel declared Brazilian President Lula persona non grata. Following Brazil’s unusual refusal to respond to Israel’s request for approval of Ambassador Dagan’s appointment, Israel withdrew the nomination. As a result, relations between the two countries are now being conducted at a lower diplomatic level

The Foreign Ministry continues to maintain strong engagement with the many circles of friends Israel has in Brazil.

Why it’s significant?

Brazil is preparing to intervene in South Africa’s genocide case against Israel at the ICJ, which could have potential impact over Israel and Israelis over the world.

In addition to that, Brazil is weighing the suspension of military cooperation with Israel and has already canceled $145 million contract for Israeli armored vehicles, and cancelled a deal earlier this year to purchase Israeli-made armored vehicles intended for its Ministry of Defense.

Celso Amorim, Chief Advisor for Foreign Policy by Lula, spoke a month ago with a group of 20 federal representatives and other leaders who called on the Brazilian government to break diplomatic and trade relations with the State of Israel.

Wait, what happened?

Israel has launched a series of attacks on Nasser Hospital in southern Gaza, with local health authorities reporting at least 20 people have been killed.

The Israeli airstrike was recorded on live air, It was seen directly hitting civil defence crews as they were rescuing survivours. The attack occured on Khan Yunis, the second largest city on the Strip, and one of the fewest places that were not initially mass evacuated (like Gaza City was couple of days ago by the IDF).

The attack initially killed three journalists at the spot, clearly working with vests. their names were:

• Mariam Abu Deqqa

• Mohammed Salama

• and Hossam Al-Masri.

Two other journalists lost their lives to the Injuries adding to the list. as was reported by AP.

20 people were killed in total, in them were medical workers coming to rescue and care for people injured in previous airstrikes that took place in the area.

IDF response

The IDF, under the command of Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, said that they will conduct an investigation regarding the matter. Zamir said in a public announcement:

"The IDF regrets any harm to uninvolved individuals and does not target journalists as such. The IDF acts to mitigate harm to uninvolved individuals as much as possible while maintaining the safety of IDF troops."

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) did not immediately respond to the ABC's questions about the attacks, and the same is said for other news outlets

This was partly done because of the increasingly negative worldwide opinion towards Israel. According to a public opinion poll published by Allensbach research institue for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung newspaper, 57% of Germans now hold negative view of the country. A more recent poll shows the number have already grown to 64%.

Why it’s significant?

The vehicles of the IDF (e.g. tanks, cars) are in poor condition. Crews patch up tanks and APCs that have been running nonstop for nearly two years. A new problem is Germany’s arms embargo, which could block engine replacements for Merkava tanks. Until that’s solved, some tanks can’t move, reducing mobility of forces in Gaza, which is a problem IDF chief have already discussed in front of the Israeli cabinet.

According to BBC, Germany is accused of breaching the UN genocide convention by sending military hardware to Israel and ceasing funding of the UN's aid agency. From October 2023 to May this year, Germany issued arms export licences to Israel worth 485 million euros ($564m), making it the 2nd largest contributor of arms exports right after the US, providing over 29.7% of Arms.

Germany sent about ten thousand tank shells, Two IAI Heron TP UAVs drones, and especially equipment for the Merkava IV tank often used in Gaza.

And other than that?

A week after Hamas agreed in principle to a partial hostage deal, Israel is still stalling, with Netanyahu opposed. Fewer than 20 hostages are alive, while about 30 are already dead. (confirmed by Trump, denied by Israel).

From September 2, tens of thousands of Israelis will get 8th-orders for reservists, but this is only to make Israel appear as functioning regulary. In reality, even the chief of the IDF repported that he doesn’t know if all reservists will attend. In some battalions, Israeli reservists have already stopped coming due to ideological commitments, economical crisis or lingering trauma..

“There are 20 hostages who are alive and 30 who are dead. I am determined—we are determined—to bring them all back,” Netanyahu said before departing, according to AP News. “And we are equally determined to ensure that Gaza will no longer pose a threat to Israel.”

As with previous ceasefire agreements, the deal may include the release of Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli custody in exchange for a partial release of hostages - an approach that Netanyahu may be considering.

However, some hostage families have expressed concern over the idea of a partial deal. Israeli rescue services (MADA - Magen David Adom), reported that there are between 14 ad 23 Israelis Injured, although reports on the matter still very, with 16 hospitalied as of now. There is also a moderate injury in Tel Aviv. Today ,20th June 2025, Israel's communications and national security ministers announced that foreign journalists are now required to “obtain prior written approval from the military censor for any broadcast from Israel during wartime, including its location”. This is despite the fact that the censor holds no such authority.

The order actually gives these bodies the power and the right to censor journalists in regardless to the context, with barely any court protection, because of "wartime curfew laws"
